Why don't Americans have PHEVs or even efficient turbo-diesel cars as do Europeans and Japanese? Because the purpose of the Federal Reserve Corporation is to keep US addicted to non-renewable energy, war and debt. Watch "The Money Masters" and investigate Operation 911. (Open Secrets)

Driving around 500 to 1000 pounds of batteries to save 2 gallons of gas is stupid. This is especially true when you are talking about lithium-ion. One phrase - thermal runaway is all I need to say here. We need a fundamental technology leap. Until then, use the PPH60 from gogreenwithct. This system uses batteries to power the electrical loads in your car so the extremely inefficient alternator doesn't have to.

Seems like electric, plug-in hybrid vehicles will be the first automobile evolution to hit the market. Within the next couple of years, it seems as though there will be a push by all of the major automobile manufacturers to offer plug-ins to customers. This offers a tremendous investment opportunity in lithium-ion battery companies, as well as in electric motor manufacturers.

Nope. I know what you're talking about and that's more like a Yahoo! messenger thing. Youtube wouldn't do this.
