Haaland set to sign with Man City | 00:53

Pep Guardiola is reportedly on the verge of getting his man with Erling Haaland’s move to Manchester City said to be a done deal.

Belgian publication DH reports that City could announce the signing of the striker from Borussia Dortmind this week after he underwent a medical.

Dortmind told Sport1 that Haaland was allowed to “take care of personal matters” during a day off from training, while The Athleticreports that City has won the race to sign the talented 21-year-old.

It has long been rumoured that Haaland would join Guardiola’s side in the summer after a move for Harry Kane fell through last year.

Haaland has been prolific at Dortmund where he has scored 85 goals in just 88 appearances.

City will reportedly gain the services of Haaland by activating a £64 million ($A113.5m) release clause.

According to The Athleticpersonal terms have already been agreed with Haaland to sign on the dotted line of a mammoth £500,000-a-week ($A887k), five-year deal that would net him £130,000,000 ($A230m).

Bayern Munich could swoop on Sadio Mane as talks between the Senegalese forward and Liverpool fail to move forward.

Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Mane’s agent has been in talks with Bayern over the move as his client prepares to enter the final year of his Liverpool contract.

Plettenberg reports that Mane is the “desired statement transfer” for Bayern sporting Hasan Salihamidzic, although he has only spoken director with Mane’s agent and not Liverpool.

Contract extension talks with Liverpool have proven difficult for Mane who is 30 and in his money-making prime.

The Daily Mail reports that Mane is looking for as much as triple his reported wage of £100,000-a-week ($A177k).

Liverpool faces a daunting task over the coming off-season with Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino also out of contract after the 2022-23 season.

Speaking on the weekend, Salihamidzic told reporters that they would be “surprised” by the signature he was chasing for Bayern.

He added: “We have to see what is possible and what is not. We have creative ideas.”
